Dream It, Be It

Soroptimists work to improve the lives of women and girls in their communities and throughout the world.  There are several award and scholarship opportunities available to help meet this mission.​


Awards list in order of application deadlines. ​For more information and applications click links provided. 


Live Your Dream Award.  Application Deadline November 15.  A signature project, this program is intended to assist women heads of households who are entering or re-entering the workforce to obtain the skills and education they need to improve their employment status through higher education.  This year the Moorhead club has budgeted funds for one $1,000 and two $750 awards.  If sending electronically send to mcgilliv@gmail.com.  Or mail hard copy to:

Ruby Award (aka) Women making a difference award.  This award is designed to honor women who work to improve the lives of women and girls through their personal or professional activities.  Recipients are ordinary women who have worked in extraordinary ways to benefit women and girls.  As part of the award, the organization most identified with this extraordinary woman receives a donation in their name.



NCR Past Governor's Award. This is a special award given by the North Central Region for a woman pursuing postgraduate studies. This $2,000 award is given annually through special donations from local clubs within the North Central Region. For more information and applications, click this link
